Involved in the early activities of the Swiss ice Hockey Federation.
Was one of three Swiss LIHG delegates at the third LIHG congress and first European Championships. Captained HC Genève in 1909/10.
Was the Vice-President of the Court of Justice at Geneva and President of the Austro-Romanian Mixed Arbitration tribunal. Was also appointed as a neutral member of a commission that looked into the settlement rights and claims of the Jews and Muslims with regard to the Wailing Wall.
He established the International Lawn Tennis Federation together with Frenchman Henri Wallet and American Charles Duane Williams-White [1860-1912] who perished when Titanic sank.
Was its president in 1920, 1927, 1929, 1936, 1939, 1952 and 1958.
Honorary Secretary of the Swiss Tennis Association.
