Excellent shot and good hands. A great scorer throughout his career. Excellent penalty killer. Consistent throughout his career. Great desire and determination.
Converted to left wing by legendary coach Fred Shero.
Was part of the LCB-line (Leach-Barber-Clarke) and had a large part in Philadelphia Flyers winning two Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975.
Co-leader for most goals and selected to the All-Star team in the 1982 World Championships.
Was unable to return after a reconstructive knee surgery and had to retire in 1984.
His number 7 jersey was retired by the Philadelphia Flyers.
Coached Hershey in the AHL and Philadelphia in the NHL, winning the Jack Adams Award in 2001 (Best NHL coach). Later scouting consultant for the Philadelphia Flyers.
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Il a entraîné Hershey en AHL et Philadelphie en NHL, et a remporté le prix Jack Adams en 2001 (meilleur coach de NHL). Il fut plus tard consultant en prospection pour les Flyers de Philadelphie.
Intronisé au Hockey Hall of Fame.
