Had a great career as a midget player, scoring 420 points in 132 games. Continued by having an impressive college career where he was an All-Star three years in a row.
He was invited to Team Canada's Olympic Orientation Camp in August 2005 – a part of the selection process for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, but did not make the final cut.
Known for his hockey sense, patience and defensive conscience. He liked to drive the net and do a lot of dirty work down low.
He was a fairly creative player who jumped into the holes, creating room for his linemates.
Always went quickly to Europe during contractual negotiations or lock-outs. He wasn't reluctant to play overseas as his parents started to live in Hungary from 1998. His father worked in Budapest for a Canadian oil campny.
Once played 542 consecutive games in the NHL. Retired in 2012.
In January 2013 he started a company in Calgary that supplied equipment to the oil and gas industry together with former teammate Geoff Sanderson.
