Had finesse skills but mostly played with intensity and used his size well along the boards.
Was capable of carrying the puck and protecting it with his body, making him difficult to stop or slow down.
Had a pretty accurate and powerful shot. Liked to drive the net.
Played his last four years in Europe (three in Sweden and one in Finland). Retired in 2007.
He was accepted to attend law school at the University of Ottawa.
Manderville deferred admission for a year and then ultimately decided to decline the offer, instead opting to complete his Cornell University Bachelor of Science degree.
He has also passed all three Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam.
Manderville went on to work as an analyst for televised Ottawa Senators games.

Joueur avec une technique pleine de finesse mais qui jouait surtout avec intensité et utilisait son gabarit dans les bandes.
Capable de porter le palet en le protégeant de son corps, ce qui le rendait difficile à arrêter et à ralentir. Lancer assez précis et puissant.
Il joua ses quatre dernières saisons en Europe (trois en Suède et une en Finlande) avant sa retraite en 2007.
Admis pour étudier le droit à l'Université d'Ottawa, Manderville a retardé d'une année l'admission avant de la décliner, optant pour termier son diplôme en sciences à l'Université de Cornell (avec laquelle il fut meilleur rookie en 1990 mais qu'il avait quitté au bout de deux ans pour l'aventure olympique puis pour le hockey professionnel). Il a également suivi des formations d'analyste financier agrée et de planificateur financier.
Manderville est devenu consultant à la télévision pour les rencontres des Sénateurs d'Ottawa.
104 points (37+67) en 646 parties de saison régulière dans la NHL.
