His roots from his fathers side could be traced back to New Hampshire in the 1600s.
On his mothers side the roots could be traced back to the 1590 England (Yorkshire).
Used his height and weight to his advantage (6’1” - 187 cm and 195 Ibs - 88 kg), constantly dishing out heavy (but clean) hits.
He was noted as a very good sportsman, but ice hockey was his favourite sport.
Great leader who captained the football and hockey teams at Williams College in 1930 as well as the US team in 1933. Lived in Marblehead, MA.
Was found in his automobile on a lonely road on the morning of August 23.
He had committed suicide by shooting himself with a rifle found in the car.
Employed at the time with Hoague & Sprague Box Company of Lynn.

Langmaid utilisait son gabarit à son avantage (1m87 et 88 kg), pour prodiguer des charges viriles mais correctes.
Il avait la réputation d'être un sportif accompli, mais le hockey était son sport favori.
Ce meneur d'hommes était le capitaine des équipes de football et de hockey de l'université Williams en 1930 ainsi que de la sélection américaine en 1933.
Il vivait à Marblehead dans le Massachussets.
Retrouvé dans sa voiture sur une route déserte le 23 août 1938. Il s'était suicidé avec une arme à feu retrouvée à bord.
Il était employé à l'époque par l'Hoague & Sprague Box Company à Lynn.
