A player with an explosive skating stride and great one-on-one moves. Ability to beat defenders on the outside. Great offensive acumen and a fine shooter. Used at either wing position. Not very big and sometimes trouble handling physical opponents. Played a constant peripheral game in his early years.

Ailier patineur et puissant, technique spectaculaire en un-contre-un. Déroutant, capable de contourner les défenseurs par l'extérieur, sens du jeu offensif et lancer précis. Peut figurer indifféremment à droite ou à gauche. Gabarit moyen (1,81m, 81kg), parfois en peine contre les adversaires costauds. Avait un peu trop tendance au jeu horizontal dans ses jeunes années. Parti très tôt en Amérique du Nord, à 19 ans et même pas une saison complète avec le CSKA.
