Brother-in-law of Viktor Ujčík. Constructive winger with an excellent physique. Drafted by Toronto Maple Leafs in 1991. Attended a few NHL training camps. At the 1993 Maple Leafs training camp he impressed Toronto's staff by attaining the highest score in fitness tests and performed well in preseason play. Immediately after camp, the Toronto management wanted him to join their farm team in St. John's. But he returned home instead to play in the Czech Republic. He returned the following year and played briefly in the AHL.
Enjoyed his time playing in Finland, where he loved the hockey and the people. Represented Czech Republic 61 games (12 goals). Played in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
Retired in 2014. Coached juniors briefly.

Ailier offensif et imaginatif, condition physique exemplaire. Drafté par les Leafs de Toronto en 1991, il acceptera l'invitation à leurs camps d'entraînement. À l'issue de l'un d'entre eux, en 1993, ses performances en matchs amicaux et ses résultats aux tests physiques impressionneront tellement le staff qu'on lui réservera une place dans... l'équipe ferme d'AHL, les St. John's Leafs. Il refusera, retournera jouer chez lui et ne fera finalement que huit matches en AHL, ce qui ne lui plaira pas du tout.
Kucharčík préfèrera mille fois la Finlande, sa façon de jouer et la bonhomie de sa population, un peu comme son beau-frère Viktor Ujčík. 61 sélections en équipe nationale (12 buts) et une carrière de voyageur puisque, outre la Finlande et l'AHL, donc, il aura joué en Suède, en Suisse, en Slovaquie, en Italie, en Allemagne et en Suisse. Puis en République tchèque bien sûr.
À la retraite depuis 2014. Brièvement entraîneur des jeunes du Slavia.
