Made his Soviet league debut at the age of 16. When he was drafted in the NHL the scouts loved his speed and flair, and they were comparing him to Aleksandr Mogilny and Pavel Bure.
Had excellent offensive instincts and a good shot.
Jeremy Roenick told Sport Express about Krivokrasov : he "drank more vodka than I had seen in my entire life. One of my adored guys, who at the time of his arrival did not speak a word of English!"
Retired in 2008. Coached in the VHL and in the USA.

S'installe en championnat d'URSS avec le CSKA Moscou à même pas 17 ans. Ceci dit, il attire si vite l'attention des recruteurs NHL par sa vitesse et son opportunisme qu'ils voient en lui un petit frère de Pavel Bure ou d'Aleksandr Mogilny et l'enrôlent deux ans après ses débuts en sénior.
Il fera une carrière honnête en NHL puis en ligue russe où il revint en 2002. Partout, on a apprécié son flair et son lancer efficace.
Jeremy Roenick a déclaré à Sport Express au sujet de Krivokrasov : il "buvait plus de vodka que je n'en ai vu de toute ma vie. Un de mes gars adorés, qui à son arrivée ne parlait pas un seul mot d'anglais !"
Après avoir raccroché les patins en 2008, il a entraîné en VHL et en junior nord-américain où son fils Nikita, né en 2000, accomplit sa formation.
195 points marqués (86+109) en 450 parties de saison régulière de NHL.
