Sverre Kristensen

Kristensen, Sverre

Position : D

24-09-1911 Sør Odal, NOR
xx-xx-xxxx

Son of Johannes Kristensen, a machinist and Gina Kristensen, a housewife. Last name often misspelled as Kristiansen.
Never dressed for any of the games at the 1937 World Championships as he was a spare. He however carried the Norwegian flag at the opening ceremony at the 1937 World Championships in Wembley, while Carsten Christensen carried the flag at Harringay.
For many years he played for Holmen IF. Played as a defenseman in the mid-1930s but also played as a forward. Defenseman again late in his career and played into the late 1940s. He also was a fine ski jumper.
