Voted Polish player of the year in 1971, winning the "Złoty Kij" award. He was a seven time league champion and the league top scorer in 1969. Kacik played for Podhale Nowy Targ and KTH Krynica. Scored 214 goals in 369 league games. Formed a very dangerous line with Walenty Zietara and Józef Slowakiewicz.
Represented Poland 118 times (38 goals). Retired in 1976. Passed away of cancer. His son-in-law Adam Wronka represented Poland as a junior and his grandson Patryk Wronka represented Poland both as a junior and senior.

Lauréat en 1971 du prix "Złoty Kij" qui récompensait le meilleur joueur polonais de l'année. Sept fois champion de Pologne, meilleur buteur du championnat en 1969. 214 buts en 369 matches avec le Podhale Nowy Targ (surtout) et le KTH Krynica (un peu). Longtemps associé à Walenty Zietara et Józef Slowakiewicz sur un bloc particulièrement ravageur.
118 sélections nationales pour l'aigle polonais (38 buts). Retraité à 30 ans, mort à 43 d'un cancer. Deux de ses descendants perpétuent la tradition "glaceuse" de la famille : son beau-fils Adam Wronka a été international junior et son petit-fils, Patryk Wronka, international junior et senior, tous deux pour la Pologne bien sûr.
