Younger brother of Paul Jensen. A solid offensive defenseman. Attended his first NHL training camp at the age of 18 in 1979 (Minnesota). Joined Minnesota North Stars in the NHL just three days after Team USA finished seventh at the 1984 Olympics.
Retired in 1989. In 2003, he assumed a position at SportsWrx Inc., as a senior executive. Went on and became the Senior Vice President of Touchpoint Media, a custom communications company in Minneapolis that publishes USA Hockey Magazine and Cambria Style among other titles.

Frère cadet de Paul Jensen, ce défenseur offensif robuste participa dès ses 18 ans à un camp d'entraînement NHL des Minnesota North Stars. Il en rejoignit définitivement l'organisation cinq ans plus tard, en 1984, quelques jours après que les USA obtinrent la septième place aux JO de Sarajevo.
Fut une carrière fort courte, achevée à 28 ans. En 2003, on le retrouve cadre dirigeant de SportsWrx Inc. puis, quelques temps après, vice-président de Touchpoint Media, qui édite notamment USA Hockey Magazine.
