Made his debut on the international stage as an 18-year old at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo.
In the league he played a total of 110 games, scoring 94 points (62+32).
Won the Finnish championships four times in the 1950s.
Coached Tappara for a few years in the mid 1960s.
Made a brief three game comeback during the 1969/70 season. Represented Finland 39 times.
