Father of Roman Horák Jr. Technically skilled player with good anticipation.
Made his national debut on November 5, 1990 vs the Soviet Union.
He was the best Czech penalty killer during Lillehammer Olympic games but his own penalty led to Kariya's overtime goal in quarterfinal game.
Injured his knee in 1996 which slowed him down later on in his playing career.
Represented Czechoslovakia 14 times (5 goals) and the Czech Republic 63 times (18 goals).
Retired in 2006 after having scored more than a point per game (more than 700 points).
Went on to work at his fathers business, being a locksmith.

Père de Roman Horak Jr. Joueur techniquement doué avec beaucoup d’anticipation.
Débuts internationaux le 5 novembre 1990 contre l’Union soviétique.
Il était le meilleur joueur tchèque en infériorité numérique lors des Jeux olympiques de Lillehammer, mais sa pénalité a conduit au but en prolongation éliminatoire de Kariya lors du quart de finale.
Blessé au genou en 1996, ce qui a considérablement ralenti sa carrière.
14 sélections avec la Tchécoslovaquie (5 buts) et 63 avec la République Tchèque (18 buts).
Retraité en 2006 alors qu’il a marqué plus d’un point par match (plus de 700).
Il a travaillé dans l’entreprise de son père comme serrurier.
