Came up through the ranks of SC Bern in the early 1970s.
Eventually played for EHC Arosa, HC Ambri-Piotta, EHC Olten and EHC St.Moritz.
Five time Swiss league champion. Represented Switzerland 128 times (8 goals).
Retired in 1990. Became a longtime ice hockey coach after his playing career.
Also spelled his first name as “Ueli”.

Retraité comme joueur en 1990, il a ensuite longtemps été entraîneur.
