Grew up with his parents, a brother and sister.
He had had another sister named Clara who passed away at the age of six due to Scarlet Fever.
George’s father was a pioneer druggist and established the everlasting “Hill’s” drug store on Saskatchewan Ave in Portage La Prairie.
George Hill was an allround sportsman who played ice hockey, baseball and golf.
Years later he recollected having his passport signed by Adolf Hitler during one of the games.
He was a licensed pharmacist and ran a family drugstore with his brother.

Il a grandi avec ses parents, un frère et une soeur.
Il avait une autre soeur prénommée Clara qui est morte à six ans de la scarlatine.
Son père était un droguiste pionnier qui a établi le drugstore "Hill’s" qui existe toujours sur Saskatchewan Avenue à Portage La Prairie.
George Hill était un sportif complet qui jouait au hockey sur glace, au baseball et au golf.
Des années plus tard, il a dit dans ses souvenirs avoir vu son passeport signé par Adolf Hitler durant un match.
Il était pharmacien diplômé et a dirigé le drugstore familial avec son frère.
