Known to be a great competitor with a strong determination.
Not a fast skater but made up for that with his nifty stickhandling ability and hard accurate shot.
Played in the NHL for NY Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks in the 1950s. NHL totals: 41-7-11-18.
Served as a playing coach for Canada (Belleville) when they became World Champions in 1959.
Was also an excellent lacrosse player who scored more than 900 goals and added over 700 assists in that sport.
Inducted into Canada's Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1972 and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 1985, as well as Sports Halls of Fame in Peterborough (1978), Belleville (1989) and Oshawa (1993).
Coached junior ice hockey in the 1960s.

Connu pour être un grand compétiteur avec une forte détermination.
Ce n'était pas un patineur rapide, mais il compensait par so habileté crosse en main et son tir puissant et précis.

Il était entraîneur-joueur de l'équipe du Canada (Belleville) championne du monde 1959.

Intronisé au Temple de la renommée du lacrosse en 1972 puis au temple de la renommée du sport canadien en 1985, ainsi qu'aux Halls of Fame sportifs de Peterborough (1978), Belleville (1989) et Oshawa (1993).
Il a entraîné dans le hockey junior dans les années 60.
