Played the majority of his career for Streatham.
Also played briefly for Queens Club London and Princes IHC London. Retired in 1940.
He was also known as an excellent rower, winning many cups in that sport.
Had patents for a luggage carrier that was convertible to a seat as well as collapsible.
He also got a patent on a Block and Tackle Apparatus for lifting loads up to 2,000 lbs. It provided a pulley block and the mechanism locked the rope against movement so that the load could be held in a lifted position without moving downwardly under its own weight.
Halford was a member of the Royal Aero Club and got his pilot’s license in 1935.
When he passed away in 1994 he left more than £ 620.000 behind him.

Il a joué la majorité de sa carrière pour Streatham.
Il a aussi brièvement joué pour le Queens Club et le Princes IHC à Londres. Il a arrêté sa carrière en 1940.
Il était aussi connu comme un excellent rameur, qui a remporté de nombreux trophées en aviron.
Il détenait des brevets pour un porte-bagages convertible en siège et pliable.
Il avait aussi le brevet d'un palan capable de charger jusqu'à 900 kg. Il disposait d'une poulie et le mécanisme bloquait la le mouvement de la corde pour que la charge puisse être levée sans risquer de descendre par son poids.
Halford était membre du Royal Aero Club et a obtenu son brevet de pilote en 1935.
Quand il est décédé en 1994, il a laissé plus de 620 000 livres sterling d'héritage.
