Highly touted as a junior. Drafted in the NHL by Detroit Red Wings in 2001. Best forward in the 2003 World Championships oInvolved in a car accident on May 16, 2003 which made him miss most of the 2003/2004 season. Attended Detroit Red Wings training camp in 2007 but didn t make the team.
Good skills and a forward with superior one-on-one skills. Quick and swift skater with the ability to do everything at a high pace. Creative player and a bit selfish. Prone on taking stupid and illtimed penalties. Above average shot.
Shortly after his retirement in 2018 he became blind from one eye despite surgery. He remained at home in Ufa - his last club and wife's city - and took care of his three children.
In 2023 his first club Lada Togliatti named him as advisor to the general manager. His duties include youth hockey teams where his two sons play.

Il se révéla aux Mondiaux juniors 2003 où il fut élu meilleur attaquant, mais manqua quasiment toute la saison 2003-2004 apr s un accident de voiture survenu le 16 mai 2003.
Drafté par les Red Wings de Détroit en 2001, il fut convoqué pour un camp d'été des Wings en 2007 mais ne convainquit pas.
Il possède pourtant un talent indéniable, notamment en un-contre-un. Patineur rapide et vif, sa technique agit même quand il est à pleine vitesse. Très bon tir.
Créatif, parfois égoïste, avec une tendance à prendre des pénalités idiotes à des moments malvenus.
Peu après sa retraite en 2018, il est devenu aveugle d'un oeil, sans que la chirurgie fasse effet.
Il a été vice-président d'un club de futsal pendant deux ans à l'invitation d'un ami, mais est surtout resté dans sa maison à Oufa, ville d'où est originaire sa femme et où sont nés ses trois enfants.
En 2023, son club formateur, le Lada Togliatti, l'a nommé conseiller du directeur générale, en charge plus particulièrement de l'école de hockey où ses deux fils évoluent.
