Younger brother of Jozef and Robert Góralczyk.
Outstanding talent who had all the tools to become a dominant player in the Polish league.
Anatoli Tarasov thought he was a diamond in the rough and wanted him to train with CSKA Moscow, so that he could improve even more.
Unfortunately his eye was cut by a skate towards the end of the 1972 World Pool B Championship game against Yugoslavia.
It was a gruesome sight as the opponents skate got stuck in his face and it took several minutes for both team doctors to gently separate them.
He was transported to a local hospital, but lost the sight on the eye, ending his playing career at the age of 21. Scored 18 goals in 38 games for the Polish National Team.
Many thought he could have become the greatest Polish player of all time.
Unfortunately he became depressed after his accident and started to drink heavily and developed epilepsi, which ultimately claimed his life.

Talent impressionnant qui avait tous les outils pour devenir un joueur dominant du championnat polonais.
Anatoli Tarasov pensait qu’il était un diamant brut et voulait l’entraîner au CSKA Moscou pour l’améliorer encore plus.
Malheureusement, son oeil fut tranché par un patin aux Mondiaux B 1972 contre la Yougoslavie.
Ce fut horrible car le patin de l'adversaire resta coincé dans son visage et il fallut plusieurs minutes aux docteurs des deux équipes pour les séparer doucement.
Il fut transporté à l’hôpital local mais perdit la vue de cet oeil, ce qui mit fin à sa carrière de joueur à l’âge de 21 ans.
Il avait marqué 18 buts en 38 matchs en équipe nationale. Beaucoup pensent qu’il aurait pu être le meilleur joueur polonais de tous les temps.
Malheureusement, il devint dépressif après cet accident et devint alcoolique, développant une épilepsie qui le tua à 29 ans.
