He continued to play for his hometown until the late 1990s.
Played with a lot of energy and was very useful on the East German national team.
Represented East Germany 49 times. Retired in 1998, but made a short comeback in 2001/02.

Il a continué à jouer pour sa ville natale jusqu’à la fin des années 1990.
