Started ice hockey at the age of 5. Won the German "Schüler" championship in 1970/71.
Son of EV Landshut long-time president Rudi Gandorfer. He studied civil engineering like his father.
9 games with German national team.
Played the majority of his career with EVL, except for a one-year stint in Mannheim (1984/85).
German champion 1983. Retired in 1990.

Fils de Rudolf Gandorfer, longtemps président de l'EV Landshut. Il a fait des études pour devenir ingénieur en génie civil comme son père.
9 sélections en équipe d'Allemagne.
A joué le plus gros de sa carrière avec l’EVL, sauf un an à Mannheim (1984/85).
Champion d'Allemagne 1983. Retraité en 1990.
