Drafted in the NHL by St. Louis Blues in 1977. Represented Finland 12 times (0+4).
Retired in 1994. Scored 552 (221+331) career points in 761 Finnish elite league games.
Inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame.

Attaquant défensif aux dons offensifs non négligeables mais souvent chargé de faire échec au joueur dominant du camp adverse. Costaud, il faisait montre d'une excellente conservation du palet.
Drafté par les Blues de Saint-Louis en 1977, sans suite. Douze sélections avec la Finlande (0+4).
Prit sa retraite à 37 ans après 552 points (221+331) en 761 matches d'élite finlandaise avec le HIFK et Lukko Rauma.
Nommé parmi les Lions du hockey finlandais (Jääkiekkoleijona, numéro 116).
