Goaltender with great size. Covering a lot of net thanks to his bulky frame. Not a very athletic type of goaltender, but more of a positionally sound player with quick lateral movements. Played one season of junior hockey in Ottawa (OHL).

De grande envergure, il laisse peu d'espace libre devant sa cage. Mise ainsi davantage sur son positionnement et ses déplacements latéraux que sur sa condition physique. Il a joué un an au Canada en junior (2006) sous le maillot des Ottawa 67's (OHL) avant de devenir un cadre de la LNA sous le maillot de Zürich.
