Appeared for the first time in the Czech ice hockey league as a 17-year old. Physically small defenseman who took boxing lessons from the age of 15 to prepare himself for the physical rigors of hockey. Developed into a tough defenseman who liked to drop the gloves from time to time. Had a good shot from the point and was often used to quarterback powerplays.
Dressed in seven games during 1993 World Championships. Stayed on the bench and never appeared on the ice.
Retired in 2000. Became a hockey coach.

Débuta en championnat tchécoslovaque à 17 ans à peine, mais il était préparé à ces débuts précoces. En effet, dès ses 15 ans, il prit des leçons de boxe pour s'étoffer physiquement et supporter les servitudes du hockey, d'autant qu'il était assez petit pour son poste.
Devenu costaud et râblé, il garda de la boxe une tendance à laisser tomber les gants, assez rare chez ses compatriotes. Son tir puissant lui assignait aussi le rôle de soutien en supériorité.
Durant les championnats du monde 1993, il a passé sept rencontres sur le banc mais n'est jamais monté sur la glace.
Après sa retraite en 2000, il est devenu entraîneur.
