Father of Joacim Esbjörs. Good in one-on-one situations and at breaking up plays.
Above average skater. Captained Frölunda for a few years in the 1970s.
Sustained a dislocated hip, femur and facial injuries when a Cessna carrying the players of Västra Frölunda to a game on February 13, 1975, crashed into the woods. Miraculously no one died in the crash. He spent three weeks in hospital and was on crutches for four months.
Scored 85 (34+51) career points in 295 games with Västra Frölunda.
Finished his playing career in Norway. Retired 1984.
