Born in Skellefteå hospital, although his parents lived in Gummark just outside of Skellefteå at the time of his birth. Played his first organized ice hockey for IFK Bjurfors up until 1972.
He also played football during these years, but eventually just concentrated on hockey.
He was also a very good track and field athlete who once ran 400 m in 50,6 seconds.
Two time Swedish league champion, but always ranked his second championship in 1983 with Djurgårdens IF as his sweetest, captaining the team.
Was perfect in a checking role with his hard working playing style.
Scored 120 (50+70) career points in 232 Swedish elite league games.
Retired in 1987 and became an entrepeneur in the construction business.

Né à l'hôpital de Skellefteå, mais ses parents habitaient alors dans la banlieue à Gummark. Il a commencé le hockey organisé avec le IFK Bjurfors et jusqu'en 1972.
Il jouait aussi au football pendant ces années, avant de se concentrer sur le hockey sur glace.
C'était également un très bon athlète qui a couru le 400 mètres en 50"6.
Il a été deux fois champion de Suède, avec Skellefteå en 1978 et avec Djurgården en 1983, mais il a plus savouré ce second titre car il était capitaine.
Parfait dans un rôle défensif avec son style de jeu fondé sur un travail dur.
120 (50+70) points marqués en 232 parties d'élite suédoise.
Retraité en 1987, il est devenu entrepreneur dans la construction.
