Began playing for the HHYC Den Haag junior team at the age of twelve in 1938.
He stayed with the team until his retirement in 1955. Moved to Antwerp in Belgium.
Scored 93 (81+12) career points in 180 league games. His son Theo Jr. also became a good player.
Theo Dietz Jr. became one of the wealthiest Dutch businessmen.
He founded Joint Services International (JSI), the company that introduced the surf brand O’Neill to Europe. In 2013 he had a wealth of € 110 million (ca $ 122 million US dollars)

Il est resté dans ce club jusqu'à sa retraite en 1955. Il a déménagé à Anvers en Belgique.

Theo Dietz Jr est devenu un des hommes d'affaires les plus riches des Pays-Bas.
