His mother passed away when he was five years old, but got great support from his step mother later on.
Started out as a defenseman but switched to goaltending as a 9-year old.
A bit undersized for the modern goalie, but exceptionally fast with great footwork.
Player with high hockey IQ. Quick lateral movements and polished in the crease.
Effective in stopping tipped pucks and good at changing direction mid-motion.
He won the Memorial Cup in 2017 and was subsequently drafted by Vancouver in the NHL.
DiPietro was voted OHL’s goaltender of the year in 2018.
Helped Canada to win a gold medal at the 2021 World Championships.

Sa mère est morte quand il avait 5 ans, mais il a eu un grand soutien de sa belle-mère quand son père s'est remarié.
Il a commencé en défense mais est passé dans les cages à 9 ans.
Un peu petit pour un gardien moderne (1m83), mais exceptionnellement rapide avec un grand travail de pied.
Joueur avec une intelligence de jeu élevée. Mouvements latéraux rapides et propre dans sa zone.
Efficace pour arrêter les palets déviés et bon pour pour changer de direction au milieu d'un mouvement.
Il a remporté la Coupe Memorial de champion junior du Canada en 2017 et a été ensuite drafté par Vancouver en NHL.
DiPietro a été élu gardien de l'année en OHL en 2018.
Il a aidé le Canada à remporter la médaille d'or aux championnats du monde 2021.
