Was a reliable player both on the club team and national team.
Had a long playing career with CPL Liège from 1943 to 1969. Also played as a forward.
Missed the 1947 World Championships when a puck broke his jaw just prior to the tournament.
His son Tony Jr. also represented Belgium in later years. Worked in the industrial profession.

Longue carrière avec le Cercle des Patineurs Liégeois (CPL) de 1943 à 1969. Il a aussi joué en attaque.
Il a manqué les championnats du monde 1947 parce qu'un palet a brisé sa mâchoire juste avant le tournoi.
Son fils Tony Jr a aussi représenté la Belgique. Il travaillait dans l'industrie.
