Son of Jozef Daňo. Born in Eisenstadt, Austria but grew up in Trenčín, Slovakia where he learned to play the game.
Quick player and strong on the puck. Good at leading a rush or counterattack. Hard shot. He can create passing plays like his father.
Got used to play with bigger and faster players at a very young age. Took a regular shift in the Slovak Extraliga for Dukla Trenčín as a 16-year old. When he made his senior debut at the age of 16 years, 1 month and 21 days he became the third youngest player of all time to debut in the Slovak Extraliga (only Marian Gáborik and Andrej Meszároš were younger). He played for Slovan Bratislava of the KHL as an 18-year old.
Didn't really fulfill the high expectations which were put on him in his youth.

Fils de Jozef Daňo. Né à Eisenstadt en Autriche mais formé à Trenčín, Slovaquie, où il a grandi.
Joueur rapide et fort avec le palet. Il aime un jeu fait de combinaisons comme son père et anticipe bien les passes, tant pour les donner que pour les recevoir. Bon pour mener une attaque rapide ou une contre-attaque. Tir puissant.
Habitué à jouer avec des joueurs plus gros et plus rapides depuis le plus jeune âge. Titulaire en Extraliga slovaque pour le Dukla Trenčín à 16 ans. Quand il a débuté en sénior à 16 ans, 1 mois et 21 jours, il est devenu le troisième plus jeune joueur à débuter en Extraliga slovaque (seuls Marian Gáborik et Andrej Meszároš étaient plus jeunes). Il a joué en KHL pour le Slovan Bratislava à 18 ans.
"Ex-espoir" qui n'a pas vraiment répondu aux attentes placées en lui dans sa jeunesse par sa précocité.
