Ben Clymer

Clymer, Benjamin Andrew

Position : RW/D

11-04-1978 Edina, MN, USA

His favorite player growing up was Chris Chelios. Good skater with a strong stride and a solid two-way player. He liked to join the rush when he played as a defenseman. Enjoyed the physical play. Versatile enough to also play both as a defenseman and right wing. Good teammate.
Was described as a fierce competitor with a mean streak. Many times had long scoring slumps and was inconsistent.
World junior championship silver medalist in 1997, the only time the USA got to the WJC final during the XXth century.
Finished playing in the KHL and DEL. Played his last game in 2010 but didn’t announce his retirement officially until June 30, 2011.
