He was the youngest of four children. His father worked with water piping.
Had a long and distinguished playing career that spanned over three decades. Was one of the oldest goal scorers in the Swedish league when he scored on his 41st birthday for Atlas Diesels IF against his old team Hammarby IF. Swedish league champion on four occasions.
In Hammarby he formed a dangerous line with Joe Hellman and Stickan Andersson. Had a nagging foot injury that bothered him for several seasons. Also a decent bandy player.
Played both as a center and left winger. Was two weeks past his 91st birthday when he passed away.

Benjamin de quatre enfants, son père exerçait la profession de plombier.
Auteur d'une longue et honorable carrière étalée sur trois décades (1920, 1930, 1940), couronnée de quatre titres de champion de Suède. Reste un des buteurs les plus âgés de l'élite suédoise pour avoir marqué le jour de son 41e anniversaire pour Atlas Diesels IF contre Hammarby IF, son ancienne équipe.
La ligne qu'il formait à Hammarby avec Joe Hellman et Stickan Andersson faisait des ravages. Du moins quand son pied, touché par une blessure récurrente, le laissait tranquille.
Pouvait jouer au centre ou à l'aile gauche. Également bon pratiquant de bandy. Décédé à deux semaines de ses 91 ans.
