A hard nosed and gritty worker throughout his career.
A fast learner who showed willingness to play physically and defensively.
Was at his best when the game got physical. Strong skater and forechecker.
He hit hard all over the ice and didn’t back down from anyone. Retired in 2000.
On February 27, 2011, it was reported that Burr was diagnosed with myeloid leukemia, which in some cases requires a bone marrow transplant.
He successfully completed chemotherapy and was reportedly cancer free.
However, it returned the following year. He died on August 5, 2013 after a fall in his home causing massive brain trauma.

Un dur à cuire et travailleur courageux tout au long de sa carrière.
Il apprenait rapidement et montrait de la volonté pour le jeu physique et défensif.
Il était le meilleur quand le match devenait physique. Solide au patinage et au forecheck.
Il frappait fort partout sur la glace et ne reculait devant personne. Retraité en 2000.
Le 27 février 2011, on lui diagnostiqua une leucémie myeloïde, qui dans certains cas nécéssite une transplantation de moelle osseuse.
Sa chimiothérapie fut un succès et il fut ainsi considéré comme guéri du cancer.
Toutefois, il fit une rechute l'année suivante. Il s'écroula chez lui le 5 août 2013 et décéda d'un traumatisme cérébral important.
440 points (181+259) en 878 parties de saison régulière de NHL.
