Burly player who played hard at all times, and often played bigger than his actual size.
Born in Kraków but grew up in Krynica where his parents moved after WW I.
He studied there and began his career with KTH Krynica in 1932.
In 1938 he came to Katowice and played for Dab Katowice, winning his first league title with them in 1939.
In 1947/48 he once again played for KTH Krynica. KS Cracovia was his next club, with whom he won his second league title in 1949.
He finished his playing career with KTH Krynica, winning his third and last title in 1950.
Eventually retired in 1955. In the 1950s and 60s he coached Polonia Bydgoszcz.
Represented Poland 33 times (11 goals). Passed away in Krynica where he also is buried.

Joueur ardent qui jouait dur à chaque instant, et souvent plus rugueux encore que ce à quoi son gabarit le prédestinait.
Né à Cracovie, il a grandi à Krynica où ses parents sont partis après la Première Guerre mondiale.
Il y étudia et commença sa carrière au KTH Krynica en 1932.
En 1938 il arriva à Katowice et joua pour le Dab Katowice, y remportant son premier championnat en 1939.
En 1947/48 il retourna au KTH Krynica. KS Cracovia fut son club suivant, avec qui il remporta son second titre en 1949.
Il termina sa carrière au KTH Krynica, y remportant son troisième et dernier titre en 1950.
Il prit sa retraite en 1955. Dans les années 1950 et 60 il entraîna le Polonia Bydgoszcz.
International polonais 33 fois (11 buts). Il est décédé à Krynica où il est également enterré.
