Brother of Aaron and Paul Broten. Great puckhandler with excellent eye-hand coordination.
Playmaking wizard with great ability to set up his wingers for excellent scoring chances.
Played the angles masterfully.
Had the ability to look ahead and plan where the puck would go. Born with natural instincts.
He was physically small but thanks to his smartness and one ice awareness he lasted more than 1000 games in the NHL.
Retired in 1997, made a brief comeback helping USA qualify for the World Championships in 1999.
Managed the Sally Broten Horse Company, raising and training reining horses in River Falls, WI.
Inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame.

Il dirigea la Sally Broten Horse Company, pour l'élevage et l'entraînement de chevaux à River Falls, WI.
Intronisé au US Hockey Hall of Fame.
