Born in Csepel, in the southern parts of Budapest.
Reliable defenseman with good allround abilities.
Tough and didn’t shy away from physical contact.
Began playing in 1952 for Budapest Postás with a one year stop at Törekvés 1955/56.
Continued his career playing for Budapest Vasutas SC from 1956 to 1969.
Never won the championship but finished as the runner-up on five occasions.
Coached the Hungarian national team in 1979.
Made a brief comeback in 1981/82, playing for Temaforg (Div.2). Represented Hungary 55 times. Had a university degree and worked in the railways as an engineer.
Inducted into the Hungarian Hockey Sports Hall of Fame.

Défenseur fiable avec de bonnes capacités globales.
Robuste et n'hésitant pas à aller au contact physique.
Commença à jouer en 1952 pour Budapest Postás puis après une année d'arrêt à Törekvés 1955/56.
Continua sa carrière en jouant pour Budapest Vasutas SC de 1956 à 1969.
Ne gagna jamais le championnat mais fut vice-champion à cinq occasions.
Entraîna la sélection nationale hongroise en 1979.
Fit un bref retour en 1981/82, jouant pour Temaforg (Div.2). Représenta la Hongrie 55 fois. Obtint un diplôme universitaire and travailla en tant qu'ingénieur ferroviaire.
Fut intronisé au Hungarian Hockey Sports Hall of Fame.
