Frédéric Louis Henri Oscar Auckenthaler was the nephew of Oscar and son of Max Auckenthaler (Swiss football president 1898).
His father Max was a great sports propagator of sports and introduced several of them to Switzerland.
Fred served as the first chancellor of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) between 1922-25, being personally appointed by his good friend Pierre de Coubertin (Olympic founder).
Worked as language and mathematics teacher in Nyon.
Later worked for the Red Cross, and was appointed to handle any matters involving American soldiers in Switzerland.
Between 1941 and 1944 he was an inspector of the German Prisoner of War camps.
Passed away after a brief illness.

Frédéric Louis Henri Oscar Auckenthaler était le neveu d'Oscar et le fils de Max (président du football suisse en 1898).
Son père Max a été un grand propagateur des sports et en a introduit certains en Suisse.
Fred a été le premier chancelier du Comité international Olympique (CIO) entre 1922 et 1925, parrainé par son ami Pierre de Coubertin (fondateur des JO modernes).
Il a travaillé comme professeur de français et de mathématiques à Nyon.
Est entré plus tard à la Croix-Rouge et a été chargé de traiter les affaires impliquant les soldats américains en Suisse
Entre 1941 et 1944, il a été inspecteur des camps des prisonniers de guerre allemands.
Est décédé après une rapide maladie.
