Was involved with the St.Moritz ice hockey club when it was formed in December 1917.
Started out as a forward, but switched to defense in the mid 1920s.
Known as a tough and uncompromising blueliner. Played for EHC St.Moritz.
Represented Switzerland 12 times between 1922 and 1928.
Also a champion skier, who was a member of Ski Klub Alpina St.Moritz.
Good leadership qualities and was the captain, both of his club and national team.
One in the trio of brothers who all played in 1922 together.
After his playing career was over, he became the Vice President of the Swiss Ice Hockey League.
Was an international referee in the 1930s. He also served as the mayor of St.Moritz.
His son Gian Alexander Andreossi [1947-2012] was named after his younger brother.
Passed away of cerebral hemorrhage.

A été actif dans le club de hockey de l'EHC Saint-Moritz à sa création en décembre 1917.
A commencé comme avant, mais est passé à la défense dans le milieu des années 1920.
Connu comme un défenseur robuste et sans compromis. 12 sélections pour la Suisse entre 1922 et 1928.
Etait également un champion de ski, qui a été membre du Ski Klub Alpina St.Moritz.
Bonnes qualités de leadership et a été capitaine de son club et de l'équipe nationale.
Après sa carrière de joueur, il fut vice-président de la Ligue de hockey suisse.
Arbitre intrnational dans les années 1930. Il a également été maire de Saint-Moritz.
Son fils Gian Alexander Andreossi [1947-2012] est nommé ainsi en hommage à son jeune frère.
Décédé d'une hémoragie cérébrale.
