Reg Abbott

Abbott, Reginald Stewart "Reg"

Position : C

04-02-1930 Winnipeg, MB, CAN

Abbott was an allround athlete who also excelled at baseball, golf and lacrosse.
A good forechecker and stickhandler.
Very bright and polite guy who would never swear, drink or smoke like many of the other players of that time.
Not very big physically which ruined his chances to earn a regular NHL spot.
Centered a line with future Hall of Famer Bernie Geoffrion during his three-game stint with Montreal in 1952. NHL totals: 3-0-0-0
Worked for an insurance company after his playing career and became extremely successful and wealthy.
PH
