Le dégel précoce rend impossible l'organisation du championnat en fin de saison. Il n'y a en effet qu'une seule patinoire artificielle dans le pays, le Stadion de Stockholm, qui accueille déjà le championnat du monde 1949. Il n'y a donc pas de champion de Suède 1949.
